Please see the CDC's new guidelines regarding quarantining if you have COVID.
To summarize we will now follow this protocol:
If you have COVID, notify Home Instead.
Stay home until you have been:
fever free for 24 hours without medication.
have symptom improvement.
Call Home Instead for permission to return to work.
Wear a mask for 5 days.
What a relief to see the end of the COVID era. We all did a great job minimizing our COVID exposure, with very little passing between Care Pros and clients. We obviously still have COVID, flu, RSV, along with common cold viruses and stomach bugs spreading in our community. Continue to keep good infection control practices in your client's home and in your home life. Here's what you can do to stay well:
Get your shots. Even though they are not mandated, you should still keep your clients safe by getting your flu and COVID shots. Encourage your clients to talk to their doctor and get their vaccinations too.
Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, cough and sneeze into your sleeve.
Continue to disinfect high contact surfaces.
Wear a mask if you have the sniffles or a cough.
